About This Course

The Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) was established in 1993 to provide a forum for basic scientists and clinical investigators to present, discuss, and critique their investigations into the epidemiology and biology of human retroviruses and associated diseases. The synergy of basic science and clinical investigation has been a major contributor to the success of the meeting.

CROI is the preeminent HIV research meeting in the world and attracts more than 4,000 HIV/AIDS research leaders internationally. The goal of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers to translate their laboratory and clinical findings into tangible progress against the HIV pandemic. CROI has facilitated the presentation of important discoveries in the field, thereby ultimately accelerating progress in HIV/AIDS research. (source http://www.croiconference.org)

In the 2020 CROI Conference (February 8-11) an excellent session with leading experts about the emerging COVID-19 disease pandemic was made available for public. The COVID-19 pandemic also impacts HIV care, therefore we adapted this session for our e- learning platform, divided it into 7 parts including multiple-choice questions. This course is awarded with 2.5 AHF CME credit hours.
